Ayah Bdeir is an engineer from Canada developed a solution for those people who struggle at the time they face with the technology. She developed a “game” that is like LEGO blocks, this set of pieces consists in rectangular modules with buttons, lights, buzzers and more thing that can be stocked together in order to create working electronic devices. This model is expected to be available later this year. Basically you will be learning about technology and programming as easy like playing with LEGO blocks, was that the engineer Bdier said about her product. The main goal for the creator Ayah Bdeir is to help those unskilled people, teaching them in a very dynamic way how the technology could be useful, practical, funny and easy. Another goal is to keep those unskilled people in the same context of the rest of the people who use the technology everyday, those people that consider the technology critical part of their daily life.
Exigence: There is people that is are not familiarized with the technology, the reasons vary. The main issue of the article is that the author is responding in a positive way to those people who are unskilled when talking about technology. Through the person in charge the engineer Bdeir, the author gives us very detailed how the problem is being fixed. In this case if the unskilled people get their set by buying it, they will be witnesses of how easy is to learn and innovate their own technology by making their own prototypes. Here is a logos false appeal because the author provides some details about the estimated prices of the product, so not all of the people will be available to get this product if this is not affordable to them.
The author is trying to tell the audience that their product would be one of the most helpful to those willing to learn about the technology or those who want to improve their technology skills. The author mentions in the article right at the first line “…Internet Age gadgets as fun and easy as playing with LEGO blocks.”, by saying this at the beginning makes the reader or the audience to keep reading so the product they are announcing could be easy or/and interesting for them. This basically captivates the reader’s attention; the author used this as thesis statement.
Text: This text is an internet article from the company Bangkok Post. they tend to make the title of the article interesting so they can get more audience. The article is an interview that they made to the person who created and developed this artifact, Engineer Bdeir.
Reader or audience: In the sixth paragraph of the article the author says “It is simple to make new creations, even for those with weak geek skills. LittleBits blocks are magnetized so that modules can only be stuck together in ways that will work.” By mentioning this it means that the most targeted audience are those people who are unskilled when they face to the technology so they can feel self confident by doing funny activities and actually interacting and making prototypes programming them as well. In the text the author uses a quote of her saying “You can really start to prototype complex things with no engineering knowledge whatsoever”, by saying this she tells the audience that there is no age or specific knowledge to use her article.
Author: The author of the article, based on the webpage, this text was written by de AFP News Agency, it doesn’t mention a specific author. Because of this is a news agency, the motivation of the author is to provide the best News so they can get more people to read their articles, their article include a vary stuff about different kind of topics.
The most used mode is Pathos and when talking about pathos it focus on the emotions and feeling towards the audience made by the author. The author does not include emotions on his work but what he does is to use quotes of the Engineer Bdeir to make the reader feel that that product is targeted towards them. She convinces the audience that there is no unskilled people, she supports them and gives them self-confidence. The attitude of the text is always positive to the audience; the author tends and tries to put always the audience as a preference even as the mentioned unskilled people. The author let know the audience that the purpose of the article is to help the audience, so the product is helpful for them.
When talking about logos we basically talk to providing evidence of something or closing a truth statement, giving some data or information helpful that supports the article content. A good habit is that often the author mentions that the product is complex but is the simplest way to learn, that’s why they use the LEGO blocks as a reference of how easy it is. Also at the end of the article the provides this information “LittleBits are now available in scores of countries and used in about 1,800 schools, according to the company. Kits range in price from $100 to $200, with "bits" also available for individual purchase.” This is some information or evidence that the product is actually used by other people and has good reputation based on the numbers showed above.
We tend to write and read as well, most of the time when we read a book we actually read superficially, we only tend to read the written words, but how often do we really put ourselves in the way to find the meaning of the phrases, what kind of emotions those the author uses, if that phrase, word or paragraph may have another meaning rather than the actual purpose of the text. This is why the rhetoric analysis is important because we look deeper in the author’s text and find what he/she is trying to make upon us, what emotions or which method does they use to convince us to do or think in something, which is their actual purpose when writing. Because of this analysis I found out that there are a lot of things in one simple text even though the article I read is not really long but you can actually figure out what facts does the author uses, and some key words just like “easy as LEGO blocks” that makes the reader think that the product is easy to use. In this case the main purpose was to convince the unskilled technology audience to buy their product by providing them details of the actual product and what they can achieve with it.

NOTE:
After completing this project I felt proud because I never learned how to read properly but now not only I read, I analyze detailed and gave some example of the different rhetorical analysis tools by using for example ethos, logos and pathos to mention some of them. I learned a lot from the journals those including the text of the Aristotle Part 2 Book1, which explains what rhetoric, is and its components and characteristics.
My writing process was even more mature because I knew my ideas and I tried to keep the paper organized.
The changes I felt is that my reading and writing is being changing more than the past projects, I am know now that this process of journals and projects are really helping me to develop better writing.
My revision in this case I would like to highlight my class mates because they provided me more details than the professor did, even though the professor also pointed out something about organization, but my classmates were really clear of what the main point or meaning of the concept persuasive.
I felt accomplished because I consider myself bad when analyzing text but now I know that reading, focusing and working hard the thing can go as you whish to.
